Lisa Hendrix has an unconditional winner with "To Marry An Irish Rogue". Set in a small town in modern day Ireland, Lisa tells the

wonderful story of how a town full of single women set about to snare a husband. Not only is the towns wealthy bachelor the center of attention, the whole event is being filmed by the national media, Radio Telefís Éireann, better known in Ireland as RTÉ.

Tara Brid O'Connell is the savvy reporter for RTÉ. She is sent with her trusted friend and cameraman, Finn, to cover a story about a man, Brian Hanrahan, who's been accused by critics of destroying Ireland's quaint villages by putting in his factories. While in Kilbooly, where this drama takes place, Tara finds more then she expected. Sitting one afternoon in a pub called The Nose she overhears a couple of local women discussing one's thwarted attempt at getting her long time boyfriend to marry her. She's out of ideas and desperate to get him to change his mind. When Tara speaks up, suggesting a boycott, she finds herself with a second story, and in the center of a game that could change her own life.

Brian Hanrahan is known by the local lads as "The Brian". He is every bachelor's ideal bachelor. Brian has a successful career, money to spend and lovely ladies at every turn. The men of Kilbooly admire Brian's independence, style and most importantly, his ability to stay single. What Brian doesn't realize is that he is soon to become the focus of not one but two major stories that are breaking in this once sleepy little town. And he doesn't like it one bit.

"To Marry An Irish Rogue" is a brilliantly told story. Hendrix's extensive research makes this book one of todays most well written books set in Ireland. I am stunned and amazed at the accuracy of the facts, right down to the brand of aspirin used by one of the characters. Each character is well developed and each page is chock full of adventure and intrigue. There are no dull spots that would cause any other book to drag. This is a quick read because the characters are fun to be with and the intrigue keeps the pages turning quickly to see what happens next.

I would strongly recommend that other authors considering setting their stories in Ireland read this book first to see how a pro does it. I would also strongly recommend that anyone looking for a fantastic read rush to their nearest bookstore and pick up a copy for their Keepers Collection. Anyone who loves Ireland and romance will really enjoy "To Marry An Irish Rogue"...guaranteed!
